Colors

Mist Design supports both dark and light modes.

The aim is to produce an equally beautiful surface, while paying attention to accessibility and appearance.

Palette

The primary color of Mist Design is green.

However, for unique, beautiful and creative designs, the primary color is not mandatory. It is strongly recommended that the design uses unique colors that blend well others.

These should reflect the character and vision of the product. Furthermore, it is important that it is aesthetically pleasing in addition to the other colors that are specified.

If green is not used as a primary color, in that case it should be treated and used as a success color.

The palette has 3 types of colors. Every type has a base color. This is the most used and base for all other shades. From that base ligther and darker versions are created. There are 2 variants for each. A subtle and a harsher change to the original. The 4 created colors are the following: darken, dark, lighten, light.

A different naming scheme is used in Tailwind configuration.
  • darken maps to dark
  • dark maps to darkx
  • lighten maps to light
  • light maps to lightx
The x stands for extreme as for harsher change
